AM: Technical Blogging for PHP Programmers

This tutorial will cover how to write about your programming projects for an online audience, whether you’re promoting your projects, recruiting open source contributors, or building up a blog to impress employers. We’ll cover the mechanics of blogging, then dive into writing about technical topics.

This tutorial will cover how to write about your programming projects for an online audience, whether you’re promoting your projects, recruiting open source contributors, or building up a blog to impress employers. We’ll cover the mechanics of blogging, then dive into writing about technical topics.

We’ll talk about everything, from choosing a content management system (and resisting the urge to build your own CMS) to how to get guest posts on other websites. You’ll leave the workshop with concrete next steps for your technical blogging projects.

I’ve given this workshop for PyLadies PDX, at PyCon AU, and a few other places. No technical requirements.
